St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus Endorses Commissioner Krista Keating-Joseph for Re-Election in District 4

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — July 22, 2026 — The St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus is proud to endorse Commissioner Krista Keating-Joseph for re-election to the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners, District 4.

The Republican Liberty Caucus advances individual liberty, limited government, fiscal responsibility and constitutional principles. Commissioner Keating-Joseph has earned this endorsement through four years of keeping faith with the residents who elected her, standing up to special interests and consistently voting for accountable, resident-focused county government.

“Krista Keating-Joseph is the rare elected official who has done exactly what she promised voters she would do,” said Sean Carpenter, chair of the St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus. “She has been a steadfast champion for St. Johns County residents in the face of constant pressure from developers and an often-hostile commission majority. She has never stopped fighting for the people who sent her to represent them.”

Commissioner Keating-Joseph has also delivered tangible results for taxpayers and responsible government. As chair of the Board of County Commissioners, she successfully advocated for a property-tax reduction that passed unanimously. Under her chairmanship, the county also approved a new comprehensive plan on time with a unanimous vote.

She has consistently opposed unchecked overdevelopment and has worked to protect St. Johns County’s quality of life. Commissioner Keating-Joseph voted against allowing data centers in the county. Although that initial motion failed on a 3–2 vote, subsequent action resulted in staff research into a one-year moratorium.

“Commissioners Keating-Joseph and Taylor have shown what principled leadership looks like,” Carpenter said. “With Krista’s re-election and Martin Pyszczymuka’s election in District 2, St. Johns County has an opportunity to establish a resident-focused majority committed to responsible growth, fiscal discipline and accountable government.”

The St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus encourages Republican and liberty-minded voters to support Commissioner Krista Keating-Joseph for re-election in the Aug. 18 primary election.

St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus Endorses Martin Pyszczymuka for County Commission, District 2

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — July 22, 2026 — The St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus is proud to endorse Martin Pyszczymuka for St. Johns County Commission, District 2.

The Republican Liberty Caucus works to advance individual liberty, limited government, fiscal responsibility and constitutional principles. Pyszczymuka has demonstrated the integrity, experience and commitment needed to bring greater accountability to county government and put residents first.

Pyszczymuka is a former FBI agent whose work focused on white-collar crime, public corruption and corporate fraud. He also served as an FBI SWAT operator, medic and as a federal air marshal and firearms instructor. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a Master of Business Administration and is a small-business owner.

An America First Republican and fiscal conservative, Pyszczymuka has pledged to oppose wasteful spending, resist developer influence and defend the quality of life that makes St. Johns County a special place to live.

“Martin has devoted his career to fighting corruption and protecting the public,” said Sean Carpenter, chair of the St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus. “For too long, the County Commission’s majority has sided with developer interests while opposing Commissioners Krista Keating-Joseph and Ann Taylor in their efforts to put residents first. Martin’s election would help create a resident-focused majority committed to responsible growth, fiscal discipline and accountable government. We are proud to stand with him.”

The St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus encourages Republican and liberty-minded voters to support Martin Pyszczymuka in the Aug. 18 primary election.

St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus Endorses Kevin Allen for School Board, District 1

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — July 22, 2026 — The St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus is proud to endorse Kevin Allen for the St. Johns County School Board, District 1.

The Republican Liberty Caucus advances individual liberty, limited government, fiscal responsibility and constitutional principles. Kevin Allen brings the financial experience, professional discipline and commitment to transparency that St. Johns County taxpayers and parents need on the School Board.

“Our school district manages hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars, including substantial new revenue approved by voters,” said Sean Carpenter, chair of the St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus. “Kevin Allen has spent his career analyzing complex financials, identifying risk, demanding accountability and overseeing financial professionals. He is uniquely qualified to ask the hard questions, find waste and ensure that education dollars are spent where they belong: in the classroom and on our students.”

Allen has pledged to bring rigorous budget analysis, true-cost accounting and transparent public reporting to the School Board. His platform also addresses academic excellence, teacher recruitment and retention, capital-project management, school safety, special-education services, technology, transportation and meaningful community engagement.

“Kevin understands that accountability is not an abstract concept,” Carpenter said. “It means clear budgets, responsible long-term planning, competitive contracting, independent audits and measurable results. Parents and taxpayers deserve to know how their money is being spent, and whether it is producing better outcomes for students.”

The caucus also believes District 1 needs new leadership after 24 years of incumbent representation, despite that voters across Florida overwhelmingly approved school-board term limits in 2022. Carpenter added, “Bev Slough has been in office for an entire generation, how can she still be objective about the district? Any criticism of our district is a de facto criticism of her.”

The caucus is particularly troubled by Commissioner Slough’s record on issues central to parents and families. That record includes her vote supporting mandatory student masking during COVID; her failure to support proactive, board-led removal of sexually explicit or pornographic materials from school libraries; and the release of parent email addresses to political action committees that used those contacts to advocate for a tax increase.

The caucus also points to persistent overcrowding in St. Johns County schools, including the continued use of portable classrooms and pressure on class sizes. The School Board is required to consider available school capacity when reviewing certain proposed developments, yet families continue to face the consequences of growth that has outpaced infrastructure. Allen’s financial and analytical background will help the district plan responsibly, accurately account for the full cost of growth and protect students from the effects of poor long-term planning.

The St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus encourages Republican and liberty-minded voters to support Kevin Allen for St. Johns County School Board, District 1, in the Aug. 18 primary election.
