St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus Endorses Sean Griswold for Airport Authority, Group 3
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Sept. 20, 2026 — The St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus is proud to endorse Sean Griswold for the St. Johns County Airport Authority, Group 3.
The Republican Liberty Caucus advances individual liberty, limited government, fiscal responsibility and constitutional principles. Sean Griswold is a St. Johns County native and the only candidate in the race with hands-on aviation experience, and he brings a taxpayer-first perspective to a board that oversees a significant public asset.
“The Airport Authority is a taxing body, and residents deserve board members who understand both the industry and the value of a dollar,” said Sean Carpenter, chair of the St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus. “Sean Griswold has been in the cockpit, in the classroom and in the community. He knows how the airport works and what it could be, and he is grounded in conservative principles.”
Griswold is a graduate of St. Augustine High School’s Aviation & Aerospace Academy and Embry-Riddle’s Gaetz Aerospace Career Academy, where he completed FAA ground school. He is pursuing degrees in Aviation Management and Business Administration at Jacksonville University and is a member of the St. Augustine Airport Pilots Association.
He also serves as vice president of the St. Johns County Young Republicans and leads the Pharoahs Car Club, a nonprofit that raised $20,000 for K9s For Warriors under his leadership.
“Sean has consistently said the airport should benefit a greater share of the community, not just a select few,” Carpenter said. “We agree. With his aviation background and commitment to accountability, he is the right choice to help the airport reach its potential without losing sight of the taxpayers who fund it.”
The St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus encourages Republican and liberty-minded voters to support Sean Griswold for St. Johns County Airport Authority, Group 3, in the Nov. 3 general election.
